A dispersal order has been put in place after an increase in anti-social behaviour.
Police have had several reports across areas in Sheerness, including Marine Parade, Broadway and Trinity Road.
Enforcement started midday today and will run until midday on Thursday (April 25).
The order covers Marine Parade, Trinity Road, Beach Street, Broadway and the High Street.
Officers will have additional powers to move on anyone causing a nuisance and if necessary, arrest those who return to the area once dispersed.
Insp Vanessa Foster, from Swale’s Community Safety Unit, said: “We are committed to ensuring residents and visitors feel safe and confident when out and about and we will not tolerate intimidating or nuisance behaviour.
“Officers will be patrolling the area, and anyone found causing a nuisance will be required to leave.
“Those that choose to return once dispersed can expect to be detained.”
Anybody who wishes to report instances of anti-social behaviour can do so online via the Kent Police website.
