Police are appealing for information after a woman out walking her two dogs in Minster was assaulted.
The 35-year-old was thrown to the ground after an altercation took place with a couple who were also walking their dog.
She suffered slight concussion and bruising to her left elbow after the attack, which happened some time between 10am and noon on February 20.
Investigating officer DC Jo Davies, based at Sheerness police station, said: "She was walking her two dogs on the Leas when one of her dogs approached another dog.
"The victim and the other dog’s owner separated the two and neither dog was injured, but the man and his female companion became aggressive towards the victim, demanding to know her name.
"When she refused to tell them the woman kicked one of her dogs and the man grabbed hold of her shoulders and threw her to the floor," said DC Davies.
The woman suspect is described as in her 50s, about 5ft 7in, of slight build with blonde hair wearing a green waxed jacket.
The man was about 5ft 10in, of stocky build with grey hair and wearing a blue overcoat.
"There were several other dog walkers in the area that morning, who must have seen the assault," said DC Davies.
"We would like to hear from anyone who saw the events that morning, or who recognises the descriptions of the couple, to contact Sheerness CID on 01795 584114 or Kent Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555111 quoting crime number CY/3106/11/".
