Two guns have been seized after armed police were called to Sheerness this afternoon.

Firearms officers descended on Victory Street following reports a man had been seen with a suspected weapon.

Patrols attended at 1.15pm and a 22-year-old man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of possession of an imitation firearm with intent to cause fear or violence.

Two BB guns were seized.
