Officers used specialist tactics to box in a suspicious car they spotted.
Members of the road policing unit arrested the driver after the incident on Sheppey.
Tweeting about it they told how they used their vehicles in a TPAC – tactical pursuit and containment – manoeuvre.
It was then confirmed the vehicle had false licence plates.
The driver was arrested for disqualified driving, no insurance, drug driving and possession of cannabis.
The unit tweeted: "He has been bailed as the blood results can take a varied time to be returned from the laboratory.
"We will begin the paperwork in preparation for charges to be administered once we receive outcome from the blood analysis."
