Police have released an e-fit of man they want to question regarding a sexual assault in Sheerness.
At around 9pm on Wednesday, March 4, a woman was walking from the train station when she became aware two men following her.
The victim, who is in her 20s, reportedly crossed into the alleyway off Alexandra Road when one of the men grabbed her and pinned her against a wall.
She was then sexually assaulted by the second man.
Her attackers ran off after she screamed for help.
Both men are described as white and around 5ft 9ins tall. One is of slim build and was wearing a light blue hooded jacket, dark jeans, and white trainers.
The other is said to be stocky and was wearing a white jumper, dark trousers, and was also wearing white trainers.
The attack came just nine days after teenage girl was allegedly approached by a man asking her for sex.
Mercedes Blackstock was walking alone on Sheerness High Street at around 9pm on Sunday, February 22, when she was approached from behind by a bald-headed man.
The 17-year-old said she was followed by the sex-pest until she escaped by running away.
It is not yet known if the police are linking the two incidents.
Investigating officer, Detective Constable Charlotte Underwood from the Kent Police Sexual Offences Investigation Team, said: “This was a nasty assault and I commend the victim in working with us to compile an e-fit image.
“Anybody who recognises the person in this image or who has any information at all is asked to call me on 01277 868163, quoting crime reference XY/007660/15.”
