Eight men have been bailed after an alleged baseball bat attack.
Police say the victim remains in a “serious condition” following the assault in Minster, Sheppey.
On Saturday (December 21), five men aged between 18 and 42 were arrested.
They have since been bailed pending further investigation.
A further three men, aged between 28 and 52, were detained on Sunday (December 22). They were also later bailed in relation to the assault.
The alleged incident took place at the junction of Minster Road and Sunnyside Avenue shortly before midnight.
A victim in his 20s was found unconscious and taken to a London hospital. Police have confirmed he is still in a serious condition.
It follows an altercation between him and two friends with another group of men, who are reported to have been armed with baseball bats.
It is believed there had been a confrontation before inside The Highlander in the High Street.
Police would like to speak to anyone who saw the confrontation in the pub, which took place between 9.30pm and 11.30pm.
Officers are also keen to speak to witnesses of the incident who have not yet come forward and those who may have dashcam or doorbell footage of the attack.
