Celebrities are raving about new hair extensions created by a Sheppey businesswoman.
Angela Croall, who runs Angels Hair and Beauty in Sheerness, launched AngelsLocks 10 weeks ago.
She had started working on them about a year ago after deciding there was a gap in the market for something at a more affordable price for salons and clients.
The 48-year-old came up with an idea for an extension which is attached in a unique way so as not to damage the hair, instead of the traditional bonded or weaved method.
A small connection is applied to the hair which then locks the reusable extension into place, leaving no damage but keeping it secure.
The extensions are already being used in salons across the country and The Only Way is Essex star Jess Wright and singer, dancer and actress Suzanne Shaw are wearing them.
Prices start from £250 and go up to around £500 for people with fine hair who would like some extra thickness.
Jess Tweeted a picture of herself saying that she loves her AngelsLocks and Suzanne visited the salon in the High Street last Sunday and has been promoting them.
Mrs Croall, of Scarborough Drive, Minster, said: “I always try to involve myself with new things that come along. I have been in the industry for years and I was using a similar product but it was a high end price.
“ I felt there was a massive gap in the market for a product that people like myself could offer clients at a more commercial price.
“I felt it was needed because there are lots of salons that can benefit – and lots of clients. When I decided to do it I thought it would go well because I knew there was a gap in the market, but I’m surprised how quickly it’s happened. Suzanne was lovely, we have spoken over the phone quite a few times so it was great to meet her in person.
“She said she loves AngelsLocks and will be recommending them to everyone.”
The launch has meant Mrs Croall could take on an extra member of staff and she hopes there will be further opportunities in the future.
