Far-right leader Paul Golding has been attacked by fellow inmates just days after being jailed for religiously-aggravated harassment.
The leader of Britain First was reportedly left with a broken nose after being beaten up in HMP Elmley on the Isle of Sheppey.
Golding, 36, was set upon by two inmates less than a week after being jailed, according to The Mirror, and police are now investigating the alleged attack.
A police spokesman said: "Kent Police is investigating a reported assault at HMP Elmley on the Isle of Sheppey, between 4.15pm and 4.30pm on Wednesday 14 March 2018.
"The victim is alleged to have been punched by two other inmates, causing him to suffer minor facial injuries.
"Enquiries into the incident are ongoing."
Golding and Britain First deputy leader Jayda Fransen, 32, were both jailed earlier this month for causing religiously-aggravated harassment during a gang rape trial in Kent last year.
The figureheads of the far-right group stood trial at Folkestone Magistrates' Court in January after denying the charges, and were found guilty on March 5.
They were threatening and abusive towards family members - including children and a pregnant mother - of two defendants tried for raping a 16-year old teenager in a flat above 555 Pizza in Ramsgate.
District Judge Justin Barron said the two had embarked on a campaign to highlight the race, religion and immigrant background of the defendants, and had no doubt the pair had used the trial for their own political ends.
He sentenced Fransen to 36 weeks in prison, and Golding to 18 weeks.
The two hit the headlines earlier this week when they were both banned from Facebook along with their party.
