Fire crews raced to a home in Sheerness tonight after a blaze started in a bedroom.
Two engines were called to the house in Alexandra Road at 8.30pm.
Firefighters tackled the flames before clearing the house of smoke with a ventilation fan.
The roof spaces of neighbouring homes were checked to see if the fire had spread.
It is not yet known what started the fire and no injuries were reported.
