Firefighters tackled a caravan blaze last night.

Two crews were called to First Avenue in Eastchurch at 8.45pm to reports of a fire inside a static caravan.

They had to use multiple hose reels to fight the blaze, which had spread to a number of surrounding buildings.

The fire was extinguished by 9.45pm.

It is not yet known how it started or if the caravan and surrounding buildings were completely destroyed.

The fire service has been contacted for further information.
