Several roads have flooded across Kent, after flood alerts were issued for today following persistent heavy rainfall.
A more serious warning added for the Isle of Sheppey this morning remains in place this evening after the Environment Agency put out a red flood warning - meaning flooding is expected and immediate action required - for parts of Minster and Warden Bay.
The alert said: "River levels remain high as a result of heavy rainfall but are beginning to fall.
"The risk of flooding remains for the next 10 hours. We expect flooding to affect properties on and around Broadway Road near the Scrapsgate Drain.
"No further rainfall is forecast for today, or tomorrow. River levels peaked at 6pm today and are expected to fall slowly for the rest of the day.
"River levels might rise again with the next high tide, [at] 6am tomorrow morning.
"Our incident response staff are actively monitoring the situation and are prepared to respond if required. Please move possessions and valuables off the ground or to safety."
Meanwhile, in Gillingham part of the A289 is partially blocked due to flooding near Asda.
Mill Lane, in Yalding remains closed since yesterday due to flooding between B2162 Benover Road and West Street.
Meanwhile, in Lower Halstow, Sheerness Road is closed in both directions due to flooding from The Street to Basser Hill.
It comes after flood alerts were issued for parts of Kent last night and into today.
The Environment Agency put out six alerts, warning that flooding was possible and residents should be prepared in Maidstone, Canterbury, around Herne Bay, Yalding, on Sheppey and in Great Chart, near Ashford.
Each of them remains in place this evening.
