Floral tributes have been left in Brielle Way, Sheerness, following the death of a dad-of-two.
Alessandro Arcadipane, who was known as Alex, was airlifted to St George's Hospital, London, with multiple severe injuries after his Yamaha YQ 100 collided with a Citroen C2 at about 10.10am on Wednesday.
The Minster resident was travelling down Brielle Way, Sheerness, when the accident occurred. Police were investigating whether brake fluid on the road may have played a part.
Today, numerous bouquets and framed cards could be seen on Brielle Way, near where the collision happened.
Many of the written messages, which were left by friends and well-wishers, praise the "awesome" 26-year-old dad.
His family have also paid tribute, saying Alex was a well-respected young man who "stepped up to the plate" as a single dad to his daughters, Lucy and Ellie, who lived with him.
His father Joe said he was devoted to his girls and said nothing was too much trouble for him and he was extremely proud of his little family.
Mr Arcadipane said that Alex, who died on Friday, would be missed by all who knew him and that he loved his life and his friends but mostly his daughters, with whom he spent all his spare time.
The collision is being investigated by the police’s serious collision investigation unit and officers would like to hear from any motorists who witnessed the collision or who may have driven over debris on Brielle Way near where the collision occurred.
