The eastern end of Sheppey looks set to be heaving this weekend as an annual event is due to take place.

Leysdown Carnival will be held today (Saturday).

There’s plenty of fun planned, from a range of stalls and entertainment on The Spinney plus games and more.

The parade of floats will start at 3pm and road closures around the area will be in place until 5pm.

At 6pm, there will be a biplane aerobatic display off the seafront.
