A Go Fund Me page has been set up to help pay for the funeral of teenager Emre Huseyin.
Emre, who would have been 16 today, died at his home in Sheerness on Saturday.
His older brother Mateusz Radomski, 27, has flown in specially from Poland.
He said: "The family would like Emre to be buried with his mother Debbie. She died from a stroke when he was only three."
Her grave is at Grove Park Cemetery in Lewisham.
Mr Radomski said: "We don't know exactly how much it will cost but it could be up to £10,000 and we just don't have that money.
"But there is no way we could not give him the send-off he deserves. I will even sell one of my kidneys if I have to."
The Island has already started to help with a Go Fund Me page.
Organiser Michael James, a friend of Emre's father Yusuf Sakaryali, wrote: "As most of you are all aware by now, sadly the world lost another great person last Saturday when Emre sadly passed away.
"As an Island, I’d like to think we could raise some money to help Emre's family to give him the best possible send-off."
It is understood Emre, a model pupil at the Oasis Academy in Minster, was given a drug at the weekend before collapsing on his bed at his home in Berridge Road, Sheerness.
He never recovered.
Mr Radomski said: "We still don't know exactly what happened but we are sure this was first time he had ever taken anything like this."
Tributes have flooded in for the popular teenager who was a regular and well-liked volunteer at the Academy's award-winning dementia cafe.
He helped serve free Sunday lunches for the Island's lonely at the Salvation Army Hall and also worked part-time in a town's Mustache barbers.
Friends and relatives will be holding a vigil in Emre's honour this afternoon at 5pm at New Road playing fields, Sheerness.
Emre's Go Fund Me page has so far raised £385. To donate, click here.
