The funeral of 15-year-old Ellis Murphy-Richards who died after being hit by a train has taken place.
The tragic teenager died last month after he fell from a railway bridge on Sheppey.
Today, his funeral procession left his mum Natasha Murphy's home in Epps Road, Sittingbourne, and made its way along the A2 London Road to the Garden of England Crematorium at Bobbing, where a service for family and friends took place at 11am.
The hearse, which was followed by one funeral car, was filled with floral tributes to the youngster, and a framed picture of him rested against the coffin in the back.
Ahead of the funeral, Ellis' family asked that instead of flowers, donations can be sent to the MindOut charity.
A page in his honour has already raised more than £3,700 .
Classmates of Ellis, who would have turned 16 on November 5, organised a special 'service' at New Road playing fields in Sheerness the weekend before last.
An inquest opening in Maidstone heard Ellis fell from the railway bridge on Wednesday, September 30, after visiting a mental health counsellor in Sheerness .
Although living in Faversham he had been a pupil at the Oasis Academy, Sheppey , and Highsted Girls Grammar School, Sittingbourne .
The inquest was adjourned and will be reopened on February 2 next year at the Archbishop's Palace, Maidstone.
