Worried traders at Sheerness Market have been invited to a meeting to discuss its future.
When they turned up at the market on Tuesday morning, traders were given a letter from the operator informing them of the closure of the market.
Swale council wardens then came round and issued letters inviting them to a meeting next Tuesday to 'discuss the current and future provision' of the market.
The meeting will be held at the Hope Street Centre.
