Football-mad pupils at an Island primary learned how to aim for their goals after a visit from two Gillingham FC players.
Devante McKain, Brennan Dickenson and a community coach spoke to children at Halfway Houses in Southdown Road, Halfway, on Monday.
The school’s big idea for this term is dare, dream, discover, so the players came in to talk about how they started playing for the club and what they did to prepare for their jobs.
They also spoke about how to keep fit, signed autographs and encouraged students to aspire to achieve their ambitions.
Defender McKain also oversaw a Year 6 footie tournament in the hall and gave out suggestions.
Assistant head Lindsay Fordyce said: “We were very lucky to get them and the children loved it. They were very attentive and lots of them support the Gills so it was great for them to see the players.”
