Two girls and a woman had to be taken to hospital after a crash, where a car caught fire.
Police were called to the smash, which involved a Vauxhall Zafira, in New Road, Sheerness, at the junction of Dorset Road shortly before midnight yesterday.
The car crashed into a metal fence and caught fire after hitting a tree.
Police arrested a 27-year-old man from Sheerness on suspicion of drink driving and he is currently in custody.
Firefighters and paramedics were also sent.
A police spokesman said: "A girl travelling in the car was taken by land ambulance to a London hospital with serious injuries.
"Her condition is not described as life threatening.
"A second girl and a woman were treated at a local hospital."
Police have revealed the woman was in her 20s but could not give ages for the children involved.
A fire service spokesman said they were called at 11.55pm and found the car engulfed in flames when they arrived.
They added: "It had left the road, hit a tree and gone through a fence of a factory unit.
"There were two adults and two children, who had been moved away from the scene."
An ambulance spokesman said: "I can confirm ambulance crews attended the scene along side their air ambulance service who attended in one of their road vehicles.
"Four patients, two adults and two children were taken to Medway Hospital and Kings College Hospital."
