A date has been announced for when a gym will open at Neats Court, Queenborough.
Snap Fitness is planning to move into the unit which used to house The Original Factory Shop, next to Iceland, in the Thomsett Way retail park.
It was revealed in June last year the store was at risk of closure and served its last customers in September 2018.
It is hoped the gym will be open by early June.
A Snap Fitness spokesman said: “The gym will be open 24/7 to members and offer monthly rolling memberships.
“It will be fitted out with world-class Matrix, Octane and Escape equipment, have a large free weights area, dedicated functional training area and group fitness studio offering unlimited live and virtual classes.”
The firm has 2,000 gyms across 16 countries and the Sheppey branch will bring the total in the UK up to 65.
It will move in next to stores including B&M and Sports Direct with Creams dessert bar, Subway sandwich shop, Starbucks, Costa Coffee and The Five Bridges pub, which is opposite.
It is the latest change for the retail park which saw Poundland take over GHM! in March 2017, leaving its old shop vacant.
