Spam sandwiches, jelly and blancmange were the highlights of a history day for school children.
Year three and four classes at Minster primary took part in a Second World War day.
It was as part of their history lessons in which they have been learning about the conflict.
They were encouraged to dress up as evacuees and bring in war-time food to eat.
A company called Rainbow Theatre visited and performed a production with the youngsters.
The pupils also had the chance to look at gas masks, ration cards and even an American Second World War Jeep which was brought to the Brecon Chase school.
Teacher Emma Hemmi said: “It was a very enjoyable day and the children loved it. “They even ate the Spam sandwiches.”
