Horse drama quickly resolved

It was all in a day’s work for a team of police officers who had to capture two escaped horses.

It happened just after 3pm today (Monday) after the horses escaped their enclosure and headed along the canal bank off Halfway Road towards Barton’s Point Coastal Park.

Four police officers managed to round them up and their owners came and took them back.

No one was injured and no cars were damaged as the horses were not on the main road.

A police spokesman said it was all dealt with very quickly and responsibly and the reason for their escape is not being treated as suspicious.
