POLICE are appealing for witnesses after an indecent assault on a 19-year-old woman.

She was walking along St George's Avenue, Sheerness, near Medway Road, on February 10 at around 10.30pm when a man approached and indecently touched her.

The man is described as white, 5ft 6in, of medium build with short dark-brown hair. He was wearing a white polo T-shirt with gold stripes, blue tracksuit trousers with white writing on one leg and white trainers.

Officers are appealing for information to this incident. In particular, they wish to speak to a man who is known to have walked down St George's Avenue towards Sheerness High Street around the same time.

They also wish to speak with the occupants of any vehicles that may have been in the area at the time.
