An Island couple are celebrating a fifth generation addition to their family.

Harold and Doreen Castle, from Minster, became great-great-grandparents for the first time in December.

Mr and Mrs Castle have four children and one of them, Janet Tompson, 65, who now lives in France, had a daughter, Val Sofley, 41.

Val’s daughter Vicky Sellen, 22, gave birth to her son Kian Rowland, making five generations of the Castle family.

Mr and Mrs Castle, who are both in their nineties, have eight grand-children and 10 great-grandchildren.
