The number of entrants in this year’s Paul Trigwell Island Run has been verified.
A total of 604 runners and walkers started the race on May 10, which is estimated to be the third-highest number of competitors since the charity contest was set up in 2006.
Sponsorship money is still coming in and a final fundraising figure will not be known for a number of weeks.
The results for the 2015 Paul Trigwell Island Run are as follows:
Two-mile run winners: veteran male, Mark Butler: 14min 34sec; veteran female, Nina Finch: 18:42; senior male, Adam Ryan: 19:31; senior female, Lisa Hockley: 22:54; U19 male, Darren Cooper: 12:38; U19 female, Polly Thomas: 15:48; U13 male, Luke Stringer: 14:08; U13 female, Erin Hughes: 16:09; U9 male, Riley Crosby: 18:38; U9 female, Mia Pitts: 22:35.
Ten-mile run winners: veteran male, Graeme Saker: 1hr 3min; veteran female, Alison Davey: 1:15; senior male, Anthony Jackson: 55:40; senior female, Natalie Long: 1:14; U19 male, James Sieloff: 1:10; U19 female, Ella Thomas: 1:22; U13 male, Tom Ayres 1:49; U13 female, Molly Ayres: 1:52.
An awards ceremony will be held from 7pm on Friday, June 19, at Oasis Academy Isle of Sheppey, Marine Parade, Sheerness.
