YOUNGSTERS went head to head with their parents at a sports day at Minster Primary School.
Over the course of the event last Saturday, families received training in basketball, football, tag rugby, gymnastics and hockey.
The participants were split into three groups with children against parents, and parent-child teams playing against another parent and child.
Ben Pattenden, of child coaching group Premier Sport, said: “The parents were getting quite competitive.”
Every athlete got a prize, and medals were given for most effort, most improved, and best parent and child teamwork.
