Men taken to Queenborough Harbour after falling from jetski

Three men on a jetski were rescued after running out of fuel in the sea off Queenborough.

A Sheerness RNLI spokesman said the trio fell in the water after the craft capsized.

The inshore lifeboat crew went to help them at 6.25pm yesterday after they were spotted off the port's Lappel Bank.

Coxswain Robin Castle said: "Three persons were in the water trying to get back on the jetski.

"They fell back into the water so we took them on our boat to Queenborough Harbour."

The volunteers later went back to tow the vehicle back to the RNLI base at Sheerness docks.

Members of the coastguard joined the team and gave the men advice on how to be safe in the water.
