Thieves stole 10 new laptops worth £400 each from the Isle of Sheppey Academy.
They were taken from various parts of the site in Minster Road, Minster, some time between 4pm last Wednesday and 6.16am the next day.
The computers were bought 10 weeks ago and are RM brand, which is used mainly by education providers.
Finance and operations director at the school, Jamie Hutchinson, said: “They were encrypted so will be pretty much useless to anyone else.
“It is really disappointing because we have worked hard to get this new building with fantastic ICT facilities.
“It does hurt when you arrive and you find that someone has broken into a school which is designed to deliver teaching and learning.
“We are all trying to improve the educational facilities on Sheppey.”
He added the school will be conducting its own investigations into how the thieves gained entry to the building and have informed the police.
A police spokesman said: “It is believed the offenders gained access through a rear door. The investigation is ongoing and there have been no arrests.”
