Canterbury College Swale campus and Sheppey FM have marked the end of a busy academic year.
For the last three years, the Sheppey Community Media Centre and the college have been working together to provide qualifications in creative media and business and IT studies for Year 1 and 2 students. A recent Ofsted inspection rated the department as outstanding.
Tutor Clare Baker-Harrison said that the inspector was particularly impressed with the training provided by Sheppey FM.
More than 300 students have trained with Sheppey FM including 60 in the last year.
Sheppey Matters project manager Julie Nicholls said: “We thoroughly enjoy working with the students and many are very talented. Several have stayed with us and progressed on to media editing and production.”
