A YOUNG mother has died less than two months after her wedding, leaving a touching legacy for each of her children.
Sharon Lamb, 23, nee Gennery, from Davie Close, Sheerness, has left clear instructions on how she wants them to be brought up.
She also made boxes containing photographs, memorabilia and letters for them, so when they are older, they will understand what happened to her and have something precious and personal from her.
Sharon's wedding to Christopher Lamb was brought forward after doctors said she had just weeks to live, following diagnosis of a brain tumour. It was originally planned for September, but the ceremony took place on May 11 at Strode Crescent Baptist Church at Sheerness.
Sharon's mother, Jacqueline Gennery, of Alexandra Road, Sheerness, said: "She planned everything. She wanted to spend her last days with her children. Now I have got to be brave and do what she wanted."
Sharon died at her home. But not before she had moved her children into her mother's house, so that they would be settled in by the time she died.
Her husband will now bring up his daughter, Katie, aged five months. The other children, Sophie, Luke and Daniel, from previous relationships, will live with their grandmother.
Jacqueline said: "I promised her that I would look after them the way she wanted. She was the most beautiful daughter."
The funeral will be held on Friday, July 12, at 3pm at Vinters Park crematorium, Maidstone. She had requested bright colours to be worn.
