Part of the A249 is closed due to a lorry fire.

The incident happened on the Sheppey-bound carriageway near Sittingbourne.

A Police spokesman said: “Officers were called at 12.20pm and are currently at the scene, diverting vehicles from the carriageway at Bobbing while fire crews extinguish the blaze.”

Motorists stuck behind on the A249 have reported long delays.
