A fiancee has made an emotional plea for her missing partner to return home so they can make plans for their wedding in May.

Steven Parratt, 36, told his partner Debbie, 46, that he was going for a bike ride along the seafront, but he has not been seen since.

He left their mid-terraced home in Meyrick Road, Sheerness, at 9.30pm on Friday.

Speaking on Tuesday, Debbie said: “We had not had a row but sometimes he just wanted to be on his own to clear his head.

“He took my daughter Hayley’s silver and white BMX bike and said he was going for a ride along the seafront. He rang from his mobile at 5.45am the next day and all I could hear was the sea in the background before the phone went dead. I kept trying but it just said that the message had failed.

“I reported him missing to the police the next day and the longer he is missing the harder it gets to cope. We are due to get married on May 9 and he booked Holy Trinity Church in Sheerness for the wedding.

“Normally it is the lady who goes about making the arrangements but he was sorting everything out. He was also planning a darts team at his local, the Crown in Sheerness High Street.”

Holding back the tears, she added: “It is just not like him to not make contact with me or my children. Even when he goes shopping he is constantly ringing either me

or the children. He loves all four of them.

“Steven had lived with me for nearly two years. This is hitting us all really hard and it is just not in his character to go missing like this.”

Mr Parratt has a Yorkshire accent and is described as white and of medium build.

He is 5ft 8in tall and was last seen wearing a rusty-coloured jumper, a black hoodie with a 'Fila’ logo and the word 'Voyager’ on the front, dark tracksuit bottoms and blue trainers.

He also has an earring in his left ear and has tattoos on his arms, including a tribal motif on his lower right arm and coloured hearts on his lower left arm.

Det Sgt Graham Hooks, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are obviously concerned that Steven has not been in touch with his loved ones, which is out of character.

“We want to hear from anyone who may have seen him over the weekend or may know where he is now.”
