A man and a teenage girl have been charged in connection with a burglary after the car they were travelling in ploughed into a fence.
Police were called to Leysdown Road, Leysdown, at about 4.30pm on Saturday.
Officers arrived and found two people in a car that had crashed into a fence, further down the road.
Police cordoned off the road near Corrigans bar before making the arrests.
James McGinley, 42, of no fixed abode, has been charged with two counts of burglary, aggravated vehicle taking, criminal damage, driving without a licence, driving without insurance and making threats to kill. He has been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Medway Magistrates' Court today.
The second count of burglary relates to a break in at Rectory Lane, Westerham, near Sevenoaks, on May 18 when a jewellery box and money were taken.
A 17-year-old girl has been charged with one count of burglary, aggravated vehicle taking and conspiracy to commit fraud by false representation. She has been released on bail and is due at a hearing before Medway magistrates on August 14.
