Man cut from car wreckage

A man has been cut free from his car after it went through a fence and ended up in a field this morning.

Police were called to the accident at 7.50am by South Lees Cottages, Lower Road, Minster, just before the Scocles Road junction as you are heading off the Island.

They arrived to find the driver trapped his purple BMW coupe.

Kent Fire and Rescue Service arrived at 8.02am and used hydraulic cutting equipment to free the motorist.

The 23-year-old, who was complaining of neck and back pain, was treated by paramedics at the scene.

There were no road closures and covers have been put over the car. No other vehicles were involved.
