A 45-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder by Kent Police, it was revealed today.

Kelvin Grey, of St Agnes Gardens, Sheerness, was arrested in Sheerness at about 7.40pm on Sunday and charged at around 11.45pm yesterday.

Meanwhile, detectives say a woman in her 40s is in a critical but stable condition at Gillingham's Medway Maritime Hospital.
