A MAN has appeared in court accused of the murder of father-or-two Roy Rossiter. Kieran Barnes, 23, of no fixed address, was remanded in custody by Maidstone magistrates.

Mr Barnes is charged with the unlawful killing of Mr Rossiter who died on Christmas Eve following an attack in Clyde Street, Sheerness, on Sunday, December 22.

No bail application was made and the case was committed to Maidstone Crown Court for a preliminary hearing next Monday.
