The body of a man has been found near a high street.

A large police presence was spotted in Granville Place, Sheerness, at 9.41am this morning (July 17).

Officers attended and three police cars and an ambulance were seen parked up in the side road.

Forensics were also at the scene, where authorities confirmed a man was found deceased.

His next of kin have been informed.

A police spokesman said: “The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report is being prepared for the coroner.”
