Man stabbed in Sheerness

A man was taken to hospital after being stabbed in Sheerness.

It happened in Pigeon Park (Trinity Park) on Trinity Road, at about 6.30pm on Saturday.

The 28-year-old was taken to Medway Maritime Hospital but his injuries were not life threatening.

Witnesses saw helicopters circling and police had taped off the whole area until about 8.30pm.

A 29-year-old man from Sheerness, who was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon, has been bailed until October 11 pending further enquiries.
