A man had to be given oxygen therapy and first aid after suffering burns from a fire in a domestic garage.
It broke out in Waverley Avenue, Minster, on Sheppey at about 6.55pm.
Two fire engines were sent and paramedics also attended.
A fire spokesman said: "Having extinguished the fire, firefighters made every effort to keep the casualty warm and comfortable, before handing him to the care of paramedics for further assessment and treatment.
"The cause of the fire has not yet been established."
Crews left just after 7.30pm.
