Police have appealed for witnesses to a crash after a man was left with life-changing injuries.
The victim, who has not been named, was airlifted to a London hospital with injuries to his arms and legs after being involved in a head-on collision between two vans and a car.
The smash, at 9.50am yesterday, closed the Lower Road at Minster on the Isle of Sheppey, for five hours.
A police spokesman said today: "Officers are particularly interested in speaking to anyone who may have seen the collision or have dashcam footage of the incident."
The crash happened near the roundabout at the junction of Barton Hill Drive.
The road remained closed until 3pm and caused widespread traffic delays across the Island.
Police Specials later tweeted shocking photographs of the wreckage, which KentOnline has decided not to publish, to explain why the road was closed for so long.
Anyone with information about the crash should call the north Kent police appeals line on 01795 419119, quoting reference 16-0430, or to remain anonymous call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
