The outgoing mayor of Swale needs your help!
Cllr Steve Worrall has acquired this wooden contraption – but he has no idea what it is or what it’s used for.
He was attracted to it as he collects wooden things and also because he doesn’t know what it’s for – and he likes the challenge.
Cllr Worrall, of New Road, Sheerness, said it doesn’t look much but it’s very well made and he believes it’s probably quite a simple answer.
The item, which is about 10 inches long, is made of wood and reinforced with metal.
He said: “I have shown it around a number of people are now dead curious about it.
“I tell them it’s a gizmo but I have no idea what it might have been used for and I want to know.”
