A man was taken to hospital after a metal block weighing a ton fell on his foot.

Paramedics were called to the steel mill on Brielle Way, Sheerness, at about 2pm on Thursday.

The man, a worker at the steel mill in his early 20s from Chatham, was rushed to Medway Maritime Hospital for an x-ray with a suspected broken foot.
