A 15-year-old girl reported missing from Essex who was believed to be in the Swale district has been found safe and well.

The girl, from Essex, was last seen on Saturday and was believed to have links to Sittingbourne, Sheppey and east Kent.

Following a police appeal through the media this morning she has been located.

Officers thanked all those involved in the search.
