Motorists are set for more disruption when the Sheppey Crossing is closed on weekends in April and May.
It follows scenes of long queues and congestion in Iwade when the bridge was shut for resurfacing works on Saturday, March 28.
Further repairs will mean the Sheppey-bound carriageway not be open from Friday, April 24, to Sunday, April 26, and Friday, May 8, to Sunday, May 10.
The Sittingbourne-bound direction will shut from Friday, May 15, to Sunday, May 17, and Friday, May 29, to Sunday, May 31.
All closures will take place between 8pm on Friday and 11am on Sunday.
The Highways Agency says the times have been chosen because traffic levels will be at their lowest.
Black and yellow signs will be displayed weeks in advance but are subject to weather and traffic conditions.
The A249 will be shut from the Iwade junction and Cowstead Corner roundabout and vehicles will be diverted via the Kingsferry Bridge and Sheppey Way.
