A multi-car crash shut the Sheppey Crossing this afternoon.

The accident, which reportedly involved three cars, happened on the Sittingbourne-bound carriageway at around 3.30pm.

Police confirmed officers were at the scene and that there were no serious injuries.

The closure caused delays back to the Lower Road junction, but these have now cleared.
