Minster vice-captain Nathan Nichol is optimistic that the good times can continue for the cricket club.
Six promotions in the last seven years have seen the club promoted from the Central League to their current position in the Kent League Division 2.
On Saturday Minster face fellow promoted team High Halstow at Gilbert Hall.
Nichol (pictured) said: "At the beginning of every season we’ve gone up a level and we keep wondering if this is where we’re going to be comfortable but we keep improving and winning and getting promoted. It’s great and it’s a fantastic position to be in.
"Everyone here is determined and we’re looking forward to the new league – the summer seems to bring out the best in us. I think we’ve got a shout again this season."
Added to the squad this season will be Australian import Gareth Whetnall who will be leading the batting attack and also taking the role as the team’s wicketkeeper.
Nichol is expecting big things of the player who has played A-grade cricket in his native country.
"For a 20-year-old to have played at that level says a lot," said Nichol. "It’s a massive coup for the club and I believe he’s going to get us a few runs."
Nichol is a key player himself having taken 85 wickets last season, including seven five-wicket hauls, with his best figures being 7-21.
