A new chalet bungalow is to be built in Barton Hill Drive, Minster, if planners agree.
Plans have been submitted to Swale council for a three-bedroom home on the corner of Hilltop, opposite the Sheppey Community Hospital.
Agent Keith Plumb, of Woodstock Associates, said: "The site originally contained a light construction bungalow for which an extension and alterations were approved. But the bungalow was subsequently demolished and a new bungalow is being built on the northern part of the plot."
The chalet bungalow is to go on the other half of the site between numbers 71 and 69. Work on the other bungalow is nearly complete.
A new access is to be provided set back from the junction with Hilltop.
The bedrooms will be upstairs with a family bathroom. A lounge-diner will be downstairs with the kitchen, utility room and toilet.
It will feature a high efficiency boiler with heat recovery, low-energy lights, low-capacity toilet flush cisterns and low-flow taps.
Building materials will be sourced from renewable sources. Two parking spaces will be provided along with an electric vehicle charging point.
