Little Mix tribute act LMX gave a shout out to Sheppey on Friday when they made their debut at the Oasis Academy Theatre in Sheerness.
There were only three of them instead of the expected four but they still went down a storm with more than 100 young fans of the Brit-award winning girl group.
For friends Katie Reid, eight, and Madison Cordingley, six, it was a dream come true. St George's CE Primary School pupil Katie said: "I was given tickets for my birthday. It's brilliant."
She and flossing-mad Madison ended up stars of the show when they joined the girl group on stage along with others.
Singer Amy-Lou Hudson said backstage: "The kids were so excited. It's always great to get them involved."
But for a while it looked as if the show might be cancelled when band leader Megan-Leigh Ennis had to pull out after her mother was rushed to hospital the night before.
Amy-Lou said: "We had a call at 8.30am to say Megan was in hospital with her mother. At first, we weren't sure if we could perform with just the three of us. But the show must go on.
"We discussed changes to the routine during the five-hour car journey from Leeds and arrived early to try out new moves. We've since heard from Megan and her mother is recovering."
The current line-up of Megan, Amy-Lou, Paige Miller and Lottie Henshall has only been together since January. But they put on a great show performing songs like Black Magic, No More Sad Songs, Woman Like Me and Shout Out To My Ex.
Paul Rogers of promoters LD Events, said: "It was a wonderful way to kick off a new run of shows at Sheppey's hidden gem of a theatre. I had so many compliments from people who had never been to the venue before.
"It was pleasing to hear people saying this is exactly what the Island needs and to see so many dancing and singing along."
He and LaytonDings Entertainment founder Mark Layton are behind the Island's first Islefest music festival in May and have tribute acts for the Jersey Boys, Queen, George Michael and The Beatles playing the Oasis Theatre later.
Paul said: "Will continue to bring the UK's best acts to Sheppey if Islanders support us."
