A new YO! Sushi kiosk is coming to Kent.
The Japanese cuisine chain will be serving a range of Asian food from a hot counter in Tesco, Sheerness.
Kiosk manager, Lauren Phillips, says the new serving area will allow the people of Sheppey to get the popular seafood closer to home.
The 29-year-old said: "The store will open on Wednesday, January 25.
"We're really excited to be opening up on the Island as the nearest YO! Sushi restaurants are in Ashford and Bluewater."
The only other YO! Sushi kiosks in the county are in Sevenoaks and Orpington.
Lauren, from Sheerness, has never worked for the company before but has experience in the food industry.
So, after being offered the role as manager two weeks ago, she's been training hard at YO! Sushi' s Kensington kiosk.
She added: "The kiosk will be replacing a hot chicken counter at the back of Tesco.
"We'll be offering the typical Japanese menu so sushi, gyozas, rice and noodle bowels as well as the Little Moon mochi balls.
"There are 80 options available at the kiosk and everything is prepared fresh on site everyday."
Although the kiosk is now fully staffed a supervisor role is still up for grabs.
Prices of the food available start from as little as £1.90 for a light snack.
Sushi sharer platters are also available for £13 and hot meals start at £4.50.
A Tesco spokesman said: "We’re always keen to offer a wide range of the best services for our customers and look forward to opening the new YO! Sushi kiosk in our Sheerness superstore."
YO! Sushi has also been asked to comment.
