Three Sheppey Sea Cadets came up trumps in a national regatta.

The Islanders were taking part in the countrywide contest at London’s ExCel Arena.

Petty Cadet Officer Cali Jeferies came home first in the Single Female Yole Rowing which resulted in her being named UK champion.

Brother and sister team, Daniel and Laura Snook, picked up top honours in the National Sailboat Handling category.

All winners received a trophy and medals for their victorious endeavour.

First Lieutenant at Sheppey, Stephen Louch, said: “It’s an outstanding achievement by all three cadets. “We’re all really proud of them.”
