A major road which runs alongside a popular beach and tourist site is to temporarily close.
Marine Parade, in Sheerness, is to shut overnight twice in September for lining and signage works.
It will be closed between the Broadway and Seager Road to through-traffic.
Kent County Council (KCC) has revealed the work will begin on Wednesday, September 13 and end on Friday, September 15.
It will take place between 8pm and 6am.
It means those wishing to visit Barton’s Point Coastal Park will be forced to park elsewhere.
Alternative routes for traffic heading west will be via Broadway, B2008 Minster Road, A250 Halfway Road, Sheerness High Street, Trinity Way, Trinity Road and the Broadway in Minster.
For vehicles travelling east towards Leysdown, commuters will be forced to use the following roads: Broadway, A250 Trinity Road, Cavour Road, Invicta Road, Sheerness High Street, Halfway Road, B2008 Minster Road and The Broadway.
